Clutter Clearing and Capsule Wardrobes

Sharing a great quick article about getting rid of the clutter (which I'm on a rampage to do right now after the holidays!):

So helpful!

And I'm also exploring the idea of a capsule wardrobe.  I have a closet stuffed FULL of clothes and wear maybe 10%?  WHY?  I'm late to the Kondo party (maybe you've heard of this book?), but I feel a big purge coming.  I tend to wear the same things (neutrals/GRAY/black/GRAY and maybe 2 or 3 pairs of jeans) all.the.time.  So why am I hanging on to all that extra STUFF?

Stuff is just stuff.

And why do I get all panicky and think "But I might NEED/WEAR this someday!"??

Alright, I'm off to start tackling that closet and squeeze in a workout while the babe naps.  Unlike the rest of America, I started my workouts last week, lol.

02 January 2016

Hey 2016!

With the new year comes a new look. Excuse the mess while my blog undergoes some changes.  Change is good!

I've spent too much time contemplating how I want my blog to fit in the blog world.  And then I realized I don't care how or where it fits.  I don't have to be a "Mommy blogger" or lifestyle blogger or fashion blogger (ha, good one!) or anything else.  I just want to keep blogging about whatever I feel like so that's what I'll do.  I'm kind of over the name of my blog as well, but don't want to get rid of it entirely.

I'm not making concrete resolutions for 2016, but instead noting areas of focus.  Areas of my life that I want to improve, which is everything!  But I really want to focus more this year on friendships, my relationship with God, taking care of my body, finding work I enjoy, traveling with my family, immersing myself into a hobby, making date nights a priority, detailing a budget, and encouraging others.

Last year, my motto for 2015 was SURVIVE.  I just wanted to learn to navigate living a life with three little humans.  Mission accomplished.

This year, for 2016, my motto is JOY.  I want to have more fun and find more joy and share it with the ones I love.

Anyway, the holidays were such a BLAST.  This was our best year yet!  I'm still recovering and (sadly) trying to take all my Christmas stuff down today.  Easier said than done with three little hooligans running around!
