A Change

I've been itching to cut my hair lately.  I distinctly remember saying to my husband during this pregnancy "DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, let me cut my hair after this baby is born.  OK?"

(I also made him swear not to let me dye my hair brown this fall, like I get the craving to do every fall.  Been there, done that....hated it every.single.time.)

SO, Here's what I've been eyeing:

I showed the Hubs the pics and he said "Go for it!  Get your Mom bob".

Booooo.....not the reaction I was hoping for!

But then again, he's just doing what I asked of him, lol!

I'm going to make a hair appointment for this week.  Here's to change and hopefully not chickening out!

Joey's newborn photo shoot

If anyone wants to know how I'm getting along with 2 babies, right now...I'm getting my butt kicked.

There, I admitted it.  It's hard.

I almost never answer my phone and rarely even know where it is; I've checked out of most of my social media fixes and I don't really care right now.  Some people just don't get it either, but that's OK.  I don't owe anyone an explanation -- but I do owe my children my undivided attention 24/7. And around here, it's 24/7!!

But instead of whine about it, I'll share some of the photos from Joey's newborn photo shoot we had when he was 2 weeks old.  *LOVE* them!  Hard to believe he'll be 6 weeks old this week.  I keep telling myself "It's going to get better, It's going to get better...."

Overparenting

What kind of mommy blogger would I be if I didn't pass along this great thought-provoking article?  Be warned, it's 6 (internet) pages long and took me a few tries to get through it; not for lack of interesting content -- but due to 2 little humans I'm responsible for ; )

Summer Days at Home*

So far...

We take lots of naps....and by "we", I mean those under the age of 2.

They tag-team, I swear.  I think I heard them say to each other "OK, I'm gonna go to sleep for a bit, but you stay up, OK?  And then when you get tired, I'll be sure to wake up, OK?"

And wake up with AH-MAZING nap hair

We suit up and slather on the sunscreen.  And then spray sunscreen over that.  Because Mom is slightly sunscreen obsessed.
We lecture little brother on why he has to stay inside.
We splash around a bit in our little pool.
 {In reality, pool time lasts about 10 minutes before boredom sets in and we're off to destroy explore something else.}
Throw in a few meals and snacks, several tantrums, 200-ish diaper changes, and the big event of Daddy coming home from work....that's pretty much our day!

*From a Toddler's perspective.  Mommy is too worn out to give her complete take on things, ha!
